Financial Planning seminar at Clico

April 29
Sunel Veldtman, of Barnard Jacob Mellet , will be hosting a Financial Planning for Women Seminar at Clico on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at 8h30 for 9h00. The seminar will cost R180 per person and the informal, discussion-style event will commence with coffee and a morning snack. The first session will cover “Your relationship with money”. Brunch, prepared by Clico chef, Sean Ackerman, will be served at 10h00, and should include Sean’s secret-recipe scrambled eggs. During brunch, Sunel will be available for discussions. The second session, tackling “How to make your money work”, ends at approximately 12h30, to provide busy mums with time to run their errands.

Art at Clico

Clico proprietor, Jeanette Schwegman, has a passion for art and local artists’ works feature prominently as elements of Clico’s chic interior and exterior décor. Anton Smit’s Ghemo Speed sculpture, as well as one of his water feature pots can be viewed from a large feature window overlooking the garden pond, while the guesthouse’s star attraction is Smit’s Sleeping Lady, reflecting Clico’s aura of peace and tranquillity. - Johannesburg’s theatres are abuzz with indigenous theatre telling the stories of post-apartheid South Africa with passion and energy, accompanied by vibrant dancing and singing. The city's Market Theatre in Newtown is part of a new inner city cultural precinct, and an arts and entertainment hub. The Joburg Theatre is usually booked a year in advance with local and overseas productions, often on their third or fourth run to the city. Gold Reef City's Globe Theatre made its reputation with African Footprint, an exuberant celebration of popular South African music and culture.
