Valentine’s Day at Clico

In celebration of Valentine’s Day 2010, Clico will be offering a delightful romantic package for Valentine’s Sunday, February 14, 2010, with choices of a luxurious overnight stay on Saturday February 13 or Sunday February 14, including a Valentine’s lunch, or Valentine’s lunch only package on Sunday February 14, 2010.

• Continental breakfast and Valentine’s lunch;
• Luxurious accommodation for two sharing on either Saturday or Sunday night;
• A bottle of SA’s best Cap Classique on arrival;
• A full-body massage for both Valentines in the privacy of their room.

Valentine’s lunch only rate will be R285 per person, with the choice of wine paired with each course at an additional R95 per person.

Valentine’s Day lunch menu
A glass of Cap Classique before lunch;

Starter: Baked tomato stuffed with savoury rice pasta and sundried tomato and served with burnt butter sauce;

Main course: Cajun-style Chilean salmon with a rose-petal chutney, served on a bed of crushed new potatoes and accompanied by honey-glazed vegetables;
Or – three tender marinated French-trimmed lamb chops in lemon-herb yoghurt, served with cous cous;

Dessert: Cardamom-infused panna cota served with cinnamon syrup.

Staff update

Former General Manager Carien Benadie has added a junior member to the growing Clico family; she now works half-day, as a result of her duties as a new mum. Tian Visser has taken over as general manager, while they are both still assisted by Stacey Naidoo.
